Yesterday, Mat Zo graced us with some new brilliant tunes in the form of The Bipolar EP. This 4 track EP definitely makes you realize how bipolar his sounds are, and how across the map he can produce. This rising star on the Anjunabeats label, has had some massive collaborations with label-mate Arty (who if you slept on his essential mix then you need to check it out) and is giving us more of his own productions. My favorite track of the EP is It’s Yours, which is more of a progressive house track. The EP starts out with the title track Bipolar, which in itself is the perfect name as it has a nice stringy buildup into a completely funky electro drop. Track 3: Ring On It has some very bass heavy and bleepy sounds into it. Finally, the last track of the EP; Yoyo Ma has a melodic progressive buildup that has drawn comparisons to the mighty Eric Prydz. All in all this is an extremely sick EP, and I can’t wait to get more tunes form Mat Zo.
