The hump day (Wednesday) is never an easy one for the working professional or student and I always seem to need some tunes with some “whomp” to help fuel me through the latter part of the work week where the days seem to get exponentially longer. I think this list of both melodic and hard hitting dubstep tracks will do just the trick and have you ready for your weekend festivities. I understand that many people rip dubstep because they think it all sounds the same. Therefore I made sure to include tracks with a unique sounds and I think you will find there is a good mix of up and coming producers along with some of the genre’s seasoned veterans. Be sure to have access to a walking cane while listening to these tracks due the common side effect of not being able to walk without wobbling. Tracks after the jump.
This track is a real cool take on an already impressive house track from Paul Thomas. Funkagenda keeps the uplifting element associated with this track and equips it with some melodic bass sounds. Definitely one of my favorites for this week.

[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TgnnRPqBEPE&w=853&h=70]Here is one of my favorites from a 19 year old American producer that goes by the alias Popeska. He has a very energetic sound and I encourage you to check out his soundcloud page if your digging it. I think he draws a lot of influence from the boys at OWSLA, especially Skrillex.
Popeska – Super Best Friends (Original Mix)
This track is from the current moombahton star Dillon Francis who slows it down with this chilled out remix of DJ Fresh & Sigma’s Lassitude. I love all of Dillon’s near mayhem moombahton monsters, but I am liking this laid back dubstep approach as well. He is clearly showing his versatility with this one.

Modigs is a 17 year old up and coming electro/dubstep producer out of Stockholm, Sweden. The amount of young talent coming out of Sweden continues to amaze me. Finding talented teenage EDM artists in Sweden is like finding talented high school football players in West Texas, they are all over the place! The track turquoise is quite catchy and is my favorite track from his soundcloud.

Here is an upbeat remix of xKore’s track Need You. I simply can’t stop pressing replay on this one.

I promised Jeff that I was going to limit this post to 4 tracks….whoops. My allegiance to Bassnectar is too strong to not include him in the Wednesday Wobbles post. #Bassheadproblems
Bassnectar & Datsik – Elevate (Original Mix)
