In just 8 days time, Identity Festival will be kicking off their tour with their first stop in my hometown, Cincinnati, OH. Up until now, the biggest EDM events to hit Cincinnati in the past 4 years have been Avicii, and Dayglow, both of which pales in comparison to Identity Festival’s lineup. When I first saw the lineup, I was in absolute shock and awe due to the caliber of talent that will be hitting our fair city.
Out of this lineup, I have a few MUST SEE artists:
Eric Prydz
If you didn’t know, this is Eric’s first tour in the US is over 2 years, due to his fear of flying. Even with a lack of US presence, the fact that this Swedish maestro is in this lineup, has made tickets sell significantly faster than they would have before. Eric Prydz just recently released his debut album; Pryda, in May, which has been in the making for the past 7 years. If you want to know what to expect from his set, don’t expect his #1 hit Call On Me, and listen to this recent mix:
Nero
Nero is a production group that is on top of the dubstep world right now, and rightfully so. Their recent album, Welcome Reality was an amazing set of tracks, and they have been touring constantly lately. If you miss them at Identity, don’t fret too much because you can see them in a few weeks at Lollapalooza!
Madeon
Madeon is another artist that will be playing at Lollapalooza, and is a rising start in the EDM world. Madeon is a 18 year old wunderkind from France that rose to fame with his Pop Culture video. More recently, he his track Icarus has absolutely blown up, and there is no stopping Madeon. Be sure to check him out for a different type of feel due to his set style, and unique production style.

Arty is one of my favorite artists right now that has been walking the line between trance and progressive house in perfect harmony. He has recently debuted a new weekly radio show called Together We Are, which is also the name of his amazing new track that has yet to release. Arty is going to have a very high energy, fast paced set that will probably be my 2nd favorte set of the day, behind Eric Prydz. Be sure to check out our interview with Arty from Spring Awakening Music Festival.
