Sandy Rivera is one of the US born and bred house music influences that probably hasn’t gotten the attention he deserves, especially if you look at the body of work he’s put out since getting his start in New York in the 90′s. Now, on Defected Records, one of the meccas of deep house music, Sandy is back with Avenue, an incredibly soulful, groovy tune graced by the vocal talents of Alisa Fedele. I picture this playing in the background as I’m walking to the beach in Ibiza as the sun is coming up – what? A kid can dream, can’t he?
