If you haven’t caught Kaskade on one of his Freaks Of Nature tour stops, seeing him on Sunday in Chicago is an absolute must. I was fortunate enough to catch him in Cincinnati, and it was definitely one of the best sets I have seen all year. This Sunday, you will have the opportunity to catch Kaskade in his hometown of Chicago not once, but twice between headlining one of the closing sets at Lollapalooza and his after party at the exclusive club, Studio Paris. Just about all that I have heard about Studio Paris (please see our Wavefront review) is that the venue is simply amazing, and what better way to round out Lollapalooza 2012 than by listening to the sweet sounds of America’s best DJ of 2011, according to DJ Times Magazine and Pioneer, in such an intimate setting.
We know that the “stars will align” in order to make this the best closing party of Lollapalooza. Upstairs, you will find yourself under the moon at Studio Paris, where the retractable glass roof will create a truly unique experience for everyone involved. From everything that we have heard here at TheBeatMill, Kaskade’s Studio Paris set will be much different from the one we’ll hear at Lollapalooza. Kaskade’s Lollapalooza set will be along the lines of what he has been playing on his Freaks Of Nature Tour, which is similar to his Coachella and Electric Daisy Carnival sets, but his set at Studio Paris is more likely to make you feel like you’re at an Ibiza club, rather than a Chicago rooftop. Think more mainstream (FON/Lolla) vs. a more underground and dynamic house set. You can expect Kaskade to really flex his DJ skills and his vast knowledge of dance music to take you on a musical journey throughout the night. If you are a die hard dance music fan like we are, then this is an after party you DO NOT want to miss.
