It has been two years since Deadmau5 has released 4X4=12, his last studio album and we have been patiently waiting and wanting something more. Last week we got something to hold us over for a little while, a preview of his new track “There Might Be Coffee”.
Today we were given a little bit more to hold on too, the confirmation that on September 25th Deadmau5 will put out a new studio album “>Album Title Goes Here<” on Ultra Records. The album will have some features from Chris James, Gerard Way from My Chemical Romance, Cypress Hill and Imogen Heap as well as a collaboration with Wolfgang Gartner “Channel 42”.
This wasn’t expected especially after he posted on his Tumblr a few days ago that he’s been quite unhappy lately, but he did say this:
“I got a lot of work to do on some stuff. so, best i just chill the fuck out a bit and just get it done, and get it done RIGHT, until I’m 100% satisfied with it. Then our regularly scheduled program shall continue.”
You can pre-order “>album titles goes here<” on August 14th and listen to a handful of previews and rough edits on his Soundcloud.
