With that being said, there has been a lot of controversy lately. DJ’s are pointing fingers at each other for “pushing the buttons” during a live set, popular music publications have been caught buying followers on Twitter, and artists have been accused of buying votes in the DJ Mag Poll. We seem to be losing grips on what is important. We seem to have gotten caught up in the popularity and money. Bottom line, we seem to have gotten lost in the abyss of the music industry. We at TheBeatMill want to change that.
Our promise to you as a Fan is that our ideas will be 100 percent original. We will not copy another blog’s work nor will we use another publication’s picture without their consent or approval.
Our promise to you as a Follower is that we will never buy Twitter followers or likes on Facebook and will continue to grow 100 percent organically. We have not engaged in the purchasing social media clout in the past, and we’ll stand by this and vow to operate our site with the highest ideals in mind. Our growth will only come as a result of your continued support and because we put our heart and soul into what we love, the music.
Our promise to you as a Reader is that we will be 100 percent honest. There will be no sugar coating. We will tell you exactly how an event was, and exactly how we feel about a latest track release. We will not lie for the sake of attaining press passes. We will not endorse a track for the sake of being on an artists good side. We want to give you the latest in EDM exactly how it is, whether it good or bad.
Our promise to the Music is that we will keep doing what we love. We will always remember why we got into this industry. We will always remember our first EDM event and the moment the music took over our body and souls. The moment chills went up our spine and we realized there was no turning back. We will always strive to put the music before anything else.
It’s only through adhering to these promises that we feel it’s possible to convey information accurately to you, our readers. While we hope you respect that we here at TheBeatMill have our own opinions and judgements, we want you to know that we understand you do as well. For this reason please consider this an open invitation, encouragement if you will, to comment on something you disagree or agree with. As long as you bring thoughtful insights to the table, we want to hear your voice.
It’s our mission to provide you with the best possible forum for discussion about the music we all love with truth and appropriate acumen. We hope that in our execution of these promises, we garner your trust and understanding that we not only aim to better ourselves but better the entire industry by holding all those responsible to a higher standard.
