Have you ever wondered if EDM perfection was possible? If so, Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano are headed to New Jersey this weekend to help answer your question. I was fortunate enough to see them close out Avicii in April 2011 at PachaNYC, and headline there in June 2012 as they tore apart a 5 hour set of epic proportion. I can safely say I am not the only one who has fallen head over heels in love with these boys. Of ALL the shows I have been to in the past few years, SJRM’s June set at PachaNYC was without a doubt my most memorable show to date. Bodies were rocking hard and heads were bobbing high as they opened with Joe Brunning’s Let Me See You Work and dropped some of my all time favorite tracks including Matt Caselli and Danny Freakazoid’s Raise Your Hands. If you want to witness why this electric pair is at the top of my list, come to Ortley Beach, NJ on August 19th for Surf Club Sunday powered by PachaNYC. Trust me, you won’t regret it… in fact you will probably thank me. Surf Club has been an outdoor beach haven for many EDM fans for years, providing a true summer party atmosphere hosted by the best DJs from around the world.
With Sunnery’s impressive piano background and Ryan’s creativity, the duo has been churning out major original tribal and funky House tracks such as Snitch and Tribeca. Their incredible ability to rework songs like Tiesto’s Lethal Industry (my personal favorite), and Swedish House Mafia’s Antidote has played a huge roll in cultivating a rapidly growing fan base of SJRM-heads. Seriously, what is in that Dutch water?
In conclusion, I’ll be out way past my bedtime this Sunday=)
